Yes, tomorrow will be our 6 year anniversary. It really doesn't seem like it was too long ago. Jake and I started dating my junior year of high school, and we're engaged in June 2001. I knew then that he would be a wonderful husband and father. Even though we both have changed through the years, date nights are less and less, "i love you's" do not come as often as before and surprise sweet letters do not exist....I can look into his eyes and see how much more he loves me now than before. Yes this may seem corny, but it's true. It's the little things like making the bed, giving the girls a bath, changing the diapers, doing the night time feedings when they were infants, painting Olivia's nails, fixing their hair, doing the laundry when I'm at work, playing dolls with Olivia, cleaning out the dishwasher, reading Olivia's devotionals and prayers every night, being able to work part-time and stay home with the girls and surprising me with the lens I wanted for our anniversary, makes my heart skip a beat. His acts of selflessness makes me want to do better, and I love him dearly for that. Love is not just a feeling, it is a selfless act and takes a lot of hard work.

"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth" 1 John 3:18
"...for God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything." 1 John 3:20

Award!!

I just received the "Honest Scrap" award from my good friend Misty. Thank you so much for this lovely award!

The deal is that I give you 10 random facts about me:

1. I enjoy staying home with the girls and working one day a week. Working is sometimes a vacation...sometimes!! I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. If you haven't already noticed...my grammar is BAD!! So don't correct me!

3. I'm a nurse! Love/hate relationship. It can be very humbling and rewarding, if you allow it.

4. I would love to have another baby....however there are days when 2 is ENOUGH.

5. Cooking is hobby I never thought I would have. I like trying new and different recipes. Every week is a new menu of ideas.

6. Photography is another hobby of mine. I just love taking pictures! Pictures to me, recap special memories. I tell Jake every lens is an investment. I don't think he believes me. No I do not have my own photography business and probably never will.

7. I'm not a sports fan. So I have no interest in this topic. Jake is just the total opposite of me. I feel bad that he married a sports hater.

8. I'm a sucker for amusement parks. I love rollercoasters!

9. Songs of songs and Revelations are the 2 books out of the Bible that I have read the most. I'm really not sure why....

10. Yes I read the Twilight series and I'm in the process of reading them again

Easter Pictures

Yesterday I finally took the girls' Easter pictures. My brother Daniel rode with us to help. There's this beautiful old cemetery called Memorial Gardens in Concord that we went to. What an awesome place to take Easter pictures. However it was a little crowded. Everyone else had the same idea I suppose. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. As you know, small children do not last very long in these situation, so I had to do this very fast. With Daniel's help we finished in less than 30 min. Then we headed to Cracker Barrel....Olivia's favorite!!
